Bio

Chrissy Bowdren [she/her] is dedicated to fostering meaningful engagement and sustaining long-term connections through intentional programming and volunteer initiatives. She currently serves as the Director of Outreach and Professional Affairs in the Department of Health Administration within the College of Health Professions at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

Chrissy attended the University of Mary Washington, where she earned a BS in Business Administration and Drexel University for her MS in Higher Education Administration.

Before joining VCU in 2024, Chrissy held roles in alumni engagement and development at both Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania, where she focused on strengthening alumni relationships and enhancing institutional affinity. Her professional interests center on creating and cultivating opportunities for stakeholders to remain actively connected with their alma mater or professional community.

A proud former resident of Philadelphia, Chrissy—and her family—are enthusiastic supporters of the Philadelphia Eagles (Go Birds).
