Dr. Ann Shih Receives VCU Breakthroughs Fund Award

Shu-Fang “Ann” Shih, Ph.D., assistant professor in Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Health Administration in the College of Health Professions, has received the Breakthroughs Fund Award – one of three internal funds supported by the One VCU Research Strategic Priorities Plan.

The VCU Breakthroughs Fund supports transdisciplinary teams to design unique, creative and innovative large-scale approaches to confront societal grand challenges. The other two funds supported by this initiative include Momentum and Quest.

Shih collaborated with colleagues from the Schools of Education, Medicine and Social Work on a project titled “Promoting Emotional Wellbeing of Service Providers in Early Childhood.” Their research aims to design innovative approaches to support the emotional wellbeing of service providers in early childhood settings.
